Perhaps you have been wondering about the high police presence at Rosenheim train station in recent weeks? In line with the current public discourse, which is drifting further and further to the right, consistent isolationism is already being practised here in Rosenheim. Virtually every train from Austria, Italy or other countries is stopped by federal police officers, and people who do not look ‘German’ are checked and harassed! Every day, the dream of a new, safe and better life ends for many people in a Rosenheim federal police bus! We demand an end to racially motivated border controls! We demand global freedom of movement for all!
We see where Europe’s murderous border regime leads every day in the Mediterranean. In 2024 alone, at least 3,530 people have already drowned in the Mediterranean! But even if people have successfully completed the dangerous and all too often deadly journey across the sea, they are unfortunately still far from safe. In October 2023, seven people – including a 6-year-old child – died when the police pursued a vehicle carrying migrants on the motorway near Munich. There were no consequences for the police’s actions.

Witnessing a racist police check? Get involved! If you witness a racist police check, show those affected that they are not alone! Offer them help and observe the officers!
If you witness police violence, try to film the situation and offer yourself as a potential witness to those affected.
Are you affected by a police check? Know your rights! You are obliged to identify yourself to the police! Beyond that, you are NOT obliged to provide any further information! It is none of the officers‘ business where you come from or where you are going!
If you are taken away by the police, you have the right to make two successful phone calls! Use them to contact friends, family or lawyers.
If you are a victim of police violence, ask for the officers‘ names and make a written record of what happened!
